| Topic(s): |
SCADA, Part II*
Supervisory Control And Data
Acquisition (SCADA) systems are being used
increasingly to control environmental systems (e.g., electric, gas,
water) in businesses, manufacturing plants, public buildings, and
academic institutions.
Representatives from the Electric, Natural Gas and Water industries will
explain SCADA systems; what they are, how they operate and are controlled,
and what
their use means to both IT and non-IT businesses and public/private
organizations.
Additionally, the role SCADA systems play in
the post 9/11 world of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) will
also be discussed.
*SCADA Systems were introduced by
Secret Service Special Agent Jason Berryhill at the Winter (03') NOITR
meeting. |
