SUMMER MEETING - SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES             
Michael DeAloia, Senior Executive for Technology Development, City of Cleveland
Michael C. DeAloia is the Senior Executive for Technology Development, aka “Tech Czar” for the City of Cleveland.  In this capacity he is responsible for the economic development of technology-based companies.

Before his present position, Mr. DeAloia was the Chief Financial Officer of BlueBridge Networks, LLC , a company that owns and operates Internet Data Centers.  Prior to BlueBridge, he was the Business Development Director for Saltz, Shamis & Goldfarb (SS&G), a large regional accounting firm based in Cleveland, OH.  In addition to positions at BlueBridge and SS&G, Mr. DeAloia was President of Susan’s Coffee & Tea and managing partner of the Leviticus Group.  Finally, he gained substantial experience at Ernst & Young and held positions at National City Bank’s Structured Finance and Venture Capital groups.

Mr. DeAloia holds an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in the disciplines of Finance and Marketing and an undergraduate degree Economics from Xavier University.

 
John J. Retterer, Director of Engineering, ICI Networks, LLC.

John Retterer has over 10 years of computer, networking, and Information Security experience with a specialization in Wireless.  His personal research focuses on methods to hide information in plain sight. John is the Director of Engineering with ICI Networks, LLC, a Wireless Engineering and Integration company that develops advanced technology dedicated to Mobile Data Communications over Wireless.  ICI Networks and other companies forming their partnership framework are pioneering innovative ways to allow users to access data while on the move.

 
Billa Bhandari, Founder and Chief Architect, Akoura Biometrics
Billa Bhandari has over fifteen years experience in the financial industry and four years in consulting services. 

Mr. Bhandari has managed trading room technology at several multinational banks including Chase, Credit Lyonnais, State Street Bank, and Putnam Investments.  Before starting Akoura Biometrics, Mr. Bhandari started Parallax Corporation and provided best practice consulting services to clients like GTE, SUN, HP, Intel, CableTron, Credit Lyonnais and ThinQ.  Through these opportunities he acquired extensive experience in large-scale systems integration and project management.

Mr. Bhandari currently serves on the Advisory Board of My Data Vault, a Florida-based company delivering secure medical information technologies.  In addition, he serves on the Technology Board of Wise Media, an Italian company focused on User Authentication Technology Publications.
