Google's mission is to organize the world's information,
and make it universally accessible and useful. This talk will be about
the culture and organization in Google and how it is designed to live up
to this mission. We will also talk about Google's growth of new
engineering offices worldwide, with Google's Pittsburgh Engineering
Center (now 14 months old) as a working example. We will also
overview some of the interesting technologies used for internet searches
of documents, video, pictures, news, blogs and maps. As one
example, we will discuss some computer vision approaches to detecting
and filtering adult content for family-safe image search. |
