Paul Lyda,
Director, Risk/Fraud Management, CheckFree
Paul Lyda is responsible for three Platform
Service areas within Product Management at CheckFree; Payment Risk,
Enrollment, and Fraud Control. The Team monitors, conducts analysis,
develops hypothesis, creates tests, and adjusts the various systems so
that risk, enrollment, and fraud are mitigated or managed to the mutual
benefit of CheckFree and our customers.
Prior to joining CheckFree, Paul was the Personal Loan Portfolio Risk
Manager for Associates Financial Services in Dallas. He has over 11
years experience in Risk Management encompassing portfolio reviews,
automated decision making, on-line enrollment, fraud, and segmentation
analysis. Paul also worked for KeyCorp in Cleveland, in both Consumer
and Commercial Risk Management. Paul holds his Masters Degree in
Business Management from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelors
or Business Administration in Finance from Kent State University. |
Robert
Varnadoe (Bob),
Director of Security Strategy, CheckFree
Bob Varnadoe is responsible for information
security strategy at the corporate level.
The security strategy team is
responsible for information security policy and standards, compliance
with customer and regulatory requirements, IT risk analysis, information
security awareness and training. In addition, the security strategy team
also provides consulting to CheckFree’s divisions and business units for
information security and acts as an escalation point and liaison to law
enforcement for security incidents.
Prior to joining CheckFree, Bob was IT Director for an
architecture and engineering firm in Atlanta. He has over nine (9)
years experience in data networking and information systems, five of
which were spent in the security field. Bob holds a Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of
Technology. |

Jason Berryhill,
Special Agent, United States Secret Service
Jason Berryhill has been with the Secret Service
since 1999 and has been a member of the Electronic
Crime Special Agent Program (ECSAP) since 2000. He holds a
Bachelor of Science degree from
Kent State University and is presently pursuing a Master's degree in
Computer Science. In 2003,
SA Berryhill was named one of the top five
ECSAP examiners in the Secret Service. In addition to his academic
accomplishments and Secret Service background, SA Berryhill has served
in the United States Army. He left military service
with the rank of Captain. |
